Friday 2nd March 2012

This morning the sun was up at 5.45 am hard to get used to..

Still no service ... Not had contact since early yesterday afternoon... I hate that...very scary to know we have no way of contacting anyone if we need to.. Or them us...

We were parked all alone on side of the road for the night.

It rained over night a little and today it's very cloudy and a temp around 17 degrees.

We were on the road by 8.30 and 16 Kms up the road John was playing his 9th hole

We filled up here it was $1.89 ltr

Still on the lookout for that camel ..

We have over 350 km to travel today we want to get to the the Fraser Range Sheep Farm

Weather soon changed and it poured with rain while travelling to next tee off # 10 at Caiguna first rain we have had while travelling on this road.

Just as we arrived.... The rain stopped...we thought how lucky... This was only a par 4 so not too far to walk... I took the umbrella just in case.... This was a hard fairway as it was all trees... But my beautiful man got a PAR !!!! again woohoo !!!

But our luck didn't hold too long.. As soon as he finished it bucketed down...we had the umbrella but we still got soaked...I couldn't walk my shoes were just full of red clay.. We had to hold tight to each other to stop from falling...

We are now on Australia's longest straight Road 146.6 kms. And we now have to turn our clocks back another 45 mins so we are now 3 hours behind Sydney..

The road stretches so far you see little black spots at the end of it and fifteen minutes later a road train passes you...on both sides of the road it stretches as far as the eye can see of just barren land... But still no CAMELS...

Very relaxing drive ...John in cruise control...set at 95kms and Singing along to The Eagles blasting out of the speakers ...

Arrived at Balladonia Roadhouse and I must say its the best one so far.. You can tell we are getting closer to civilization ...we had lunch here John had a hamburger which was huge and so it should be it cost $14.... food is so expensive in the roadhouse's.... I had a roast roll it was yummy..

We chatted to a few folks here... One couple in a car with3 kids under five... Tenting it every night..they are on the road for 6 month and loving it...

Big difference to swimming pools from lst one..

John played tee off 11 only a short one ..

Searching for his ball... we did this a LOT..

We then headed out to next tee off 108 kms down the road , which is on a sheep station.

Huge sunflowers on the sheep farm

Sheep Station Office

Arrived at station and then had to drive further into property for the tee off ..it's amazing where we have taken this big rig this last 5 days.

Don't  know what these are but they were all over the ground... wouldn't want to stand on one ...
 ouch !!

John played his tee off #12 and then we decided to keep going.. We are only 100 km out of Norseman which is a main town...still no service on phones.. So we will keep going till service comes in again.

We did plan on staying at the Sheep Station but being so close to Norseman we prodded on... We had 2 holes to play at Norseman and John was tired...so we decided to pull up just outside of town for the night...We will have spent the longest time we have ever done bush camping after tonight...5 days it's been excellent ..
